OJSC State Insurance Company “Podderzhka” (previous name – OJSC Insurance Company “Chuvashiya-Podderzhka”) has been working in the insurance market since 1992. In terms of volume of written insurance premiums it ranks among leaders of the regional insurance market, and in agricultural insurance it holds leading positions in Russia. Since 1999 there is a participating interest in the company charter capital of the Chuvash Republic government which increased to 34,36 percent in 2008.

In the republic with support of the State Insurance Company “Podderzhka” the two-level system of agricultural credit cooperation was founded and it is active (more than 11 years) to develop rural areas. Offices of the company and one of the agricultural consumer credit cooperatives (meeting the present-day economic) are usually located in one building what allows market participants to use insurance and micro-financial services. There were developed special insurance products to provide benefits for members of credit cooperatives. This professional experience is on demand in many regions of Russia that is why filial agencies and offices of the company were being been founded outside the Chuvash Republic limits.

In the framework of collaboration of the Sate Insurance Company “Podderzhka” with the agricultural consumer credit cooperatives of the second level (Chuvash Republican Agricultural Consumer Credit Cooperative “Soglasiye” and Republican Agricultural Consumer Service Cooperative “Sodeystviye”) and on the base of its asset complex it is developed the first in Russia Innovation Training Center with training demonstration areas. Republican and interregional trainings, conferences, round-table discussions, meetings and other events regarding development of agricultural insurance and agricultural consumer cooperation are already held in the Training Center.

The State Insurance Company “Podderzhka” is a member of the International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF), the Association “Agropromstrakh” and other unions of insurers. This allows representing and protecting the interests of its customers on the federal, regional and international level.

In public recognition of outstanding commitment in the realm of leadership in business management, innovation technologies the company received the International Quality Crown Award (in the Gold category), International Quality Star Award (in the Platinum category) and International Quality Era Award (in the Diamond category).

In 2008 the Company became an award winner for the first time in the Volga region established Silver Umbrella National Prize in the realm “Informational Transparent Company”.
